DHR International Announces Appointment of Executive Director, New Jersey Hall of Fame
On behalf of the Nonprofit Practice of DHR International, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jim Roberts as the inaugural Executive Director for the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
Jim is an exemplary fundraiser and nonprofit executive with over 30 years of experience in the philanthropic sector. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society chapter in NYC. Previously, he held CEO roles with the JDRF, MS Society, and American Diabetes Association chapters in New Jersey. The first 18 years of Jim’s career were with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where he created the first corporate responsibility, special event, sports and cause marketing department, and was part of the management team that produced an approximately 10-year, $1 billion turnaround.
In addition to his robust philanthropic network, years of experience raising money, and passion for the state of New Jersey, Jim brings dynamic, visionary leadership to the New Jersey Hall of Fame as it embarks on the construction of a 15,000 square foot museum at the American Dream, completes a $17.5 million capital campaign, and expands its outreach and programming in the future. As a prolific builder of fundraising infrastructure, Jim will institutionalize what has been a grassroots, volunteer-driven nonprofit, increasing operational capacity and further advancing the mission.
